The medical elastic bandage of high elasticity without latex is designed for the prevention, recovery, and treatment of varicose veins of the 1st and 2nd degrees, for prevention of hematomas or bleeding after phlebectomy (removal of veins). Such bandages are also used to keep joints and soft tissues at rest after injuries and in the postoperative period.

One of the important characteristics of the MedTextile high-stretch medical bandage is its natural composition: cotton - 93%, lycra - 6%, PE - 1%. There are practically no fibers in their composition that can negatively affect the user's health (there is no latex in the composition of the bandage).

One significant problem exists when using elastic medical products — natural latex can cause an allergic reaction. Especially this problem is actual for those people who have an allergic reaction to seafood or fish (because latex allergy often overlaps with seafood allergy). That is why elastic bandages, which have a natural latex thread in their composition, can cause unwanted reactions in people with a tendency to allergies.

BANDAGE'S EFFECTS

Fixing effect: when applied, the bandage keeps the joint in a natural physiological position and partially immobilizes the limb, or joint (muscles, tendons, and subcutaneous tissue), in such a way providing rest and reduce pain. Besides,  mobility limitation can significantly reduce the rehabilitation time after an injury.  The bandage also helps to redistribute the load on other parts of the human body. With the constant wearing of a bandage, ligaments, muscles, and tissues of the joint are in a fixed heated condition, which reduces the likelihood of damage to the joint or tissues during physical loading.

Warming effect: when applied, the bandage creates an optimal thermal balance, which helps to reduce pain syndrome, increase blood circulation and accelerate the recovery of tissues, and also creates optimal conditions for the regeneration of damaged tissues.

Compression effect:  applying a bandage provides significant compression on the tissues of the joints, squeezing out excess fluid from the intercellular space into the lymphatic vessels. This method reduces swelling and prevents its recurrence.

Micro-massage effect: when moving, the applied bandage affects the skin, subcutaneous tissues, muscles, and ligaments, displacing blood from the capillary network into the veins, and excess fluid from the intercellular space into the lymphatic channels, thereby improving the microcirculation of blood and lymph and creates optimal conditions for the regeneration of damaged tissues.
